Animal Therapy Coming to Los Altos High
 
Citing the therapeutic and calming effects of exposure to animals, Los Altos High student Riley Fujioka has set her sights on opening a branch of Animal Assisted Happiness at her school. The organization is a nonprofit branch of the NCL Stanford Hills Chapter, of which Riley has been a member for five years. She has seen how interactions with animals helps to reduce stress in humans and wanted to help her fellows students deal with the stress of high school – especially during finals week.
