Los Altos Hills’ City Council has put together a proposal that would reward residents constructing accessory dwelling units (ADUs) by their standards versus the new California ADU laws. The state laws prohibits requiring a setback of more than 4 feet or more than 1 additional parking spot. But, in exchange for adhering to the city’s 30-foot setbacks and additional parking spaces, residents will be allowed increased building height and additional floor space.
There are a lot of reasons why many buyers choose to search for homes in the cities of Los Altos, Los Altos Hills and Mountain View areas. But, the high quality schools offered within the Los Altos School District (LASD) probably tops them all. Dedicated and experienced teachers offers outstanding opportunities to all elementary and junior high school students.
